This item is a small skein of grey neck wool that I spun as a more bulky textured spinning experiment. It is a 2 ply yarn and is very soft.
As I can't tie this skein to a particular ewe as per most of my listings, I include a nice shot of a sample of my flock of beautiful adult ewes on the summer pasture, all nice and fat and happy.
We micron test our flock every year, our average fiber diameter is in the low 20's, so this wool can be worn next to the skin with little or no irritation. I wash, flick and spin this yarn here in my farm workshop, all by hand.
We breed for soft, fine, crimpy shetland wool, so the skein is nice and bouncy and elastic.
