This fleece is from our ewe Janet. She is a Grey Katmoget ewe born in 2022, so this is her lamb fleece.
Her fleece weight is 10.1 oz. Heavily skirted. Ewe was coated in the fall before we started giving them hay.
This is a roo'd fleece.
Janet's fleece was a pretty surprise to me, she is one of our shy ewes, so I don't get my hands on her often. Rooing her was a pleasure! I was happy to get as much wool as I did because she was a super teeny tiny little lamb. Her fleece did not come off as a very dense fleece and the tips are fairly open, I would drum card this as is and then spin for a slight textured yarn.
