This fleece is from our 11 year old ewe Pearl. She is a grey katmoget ewe and is the one ewe that has made the biggest impact on the character of our flock. She has such great wool, that even at 11 years of age, I am proud to offer her wool as an example of a fine fleece shetland fleece, with lovely fineness and crimp.
We did not submit her fleece to Texas A&M this year, because it consistently comes back at low 20's micron and hasn't changed much over the years.
Her fleece weight is 23.4 oz. Heavily skirted. Ewe was coated in the fall before we started giving them hay.
This is a rooed fleece.
