This is a needlefelted lamb made from wool from our flock of soft shetland sheep. The base is scrap wool that comes from waste when I prepare batts for spinning. Then I take the very tightly coiled locks from our sheep's wool, which gets all the environmental exposure, and needle them into the form, to create this adorable little ewe lamb. She is creamy white color, is ~ 4" from the tip of her nose to the tip of her butt. 2.5" tall. Her face and feet are black much like the Valais breed with curly locks hanging over her eyes.
We raise shetland sheep on our small family farm. We usually have around 60 or so adults that we use for breeding stock.
I hope you enjoy this sweet little lamb!
