This fleece is from our ewe Isolde. She is a Grey Katmoget ewe born in 2022, so this is her lamb fleece.
Her fleece weight is 15.4 oz. Heavily skirted. Ewe was coated in the fall before we started giving them hay. I like the variety of greys in this fleece, this ewe is spotted.
This is a roo'd fleece. Isolde's fleece has a bolder crimp than what we breed for normally, but it is really nice. She is a spotted ewe, and that manifests itself in her fleece with more shading than actual spots. If this were spun from the lock there would be very interesting variation in the color. Also could drum card all together and get a nice highlighted yarn. Many cool options with this fleece.
I included a copy of the micron data for this fleece in the photos.
