This fleece is from our ewe Belva. She is a white ewe born in 2020.
Her fleece weight is 26.2 oz. Heavily skirted. Ewe was coated in the fall before we started giving them hay.
This is a sheared fleece.
I roo'd her in past years, but this year she wasn't bred, so I was concerned that she wouldn't have a good weak rise. So I decided to shear her. So there is a visible rise in her fleece and it is just so very close to the base of the staple that I am going to say that it is ok as is, but may have small bits of waste. I would definitely comb or flick this fleece before doing anything else. She is a short ewe, but broad, and for her size produces a nice sized fleece for us.
