This listing is for the New Majacraft 2 pitch Extra fine Mini Comb System. Here is what the factory has to say about this new product:
These will be fantastic for fine micron fleeces such as baby camel, fine Merino, cria alpaca, silk blends, lamb fleeces, and luxury fibre blending. Our original standard combs are classed as ‘Fine Combs’ and are suitable for medium to fine fibres. The addition of Extra Fine Combs to our fibre tool range will be perfect for those who want to make beautiful combed top from their extra fine fibres too. We have retained the same quality, shape, and size of the original Fine hand combs, the difference in the Extra Fine’s is the greater number of tines.
Suitable for the finest of fibres
Reduces the risk of nepps when combing very fine fibres
Made with the same high quality design as our standard Fine combs
The no-rust tines are very smooth but not too sharp (safe to use)
The Extra Fine combs are suited to fibre of 14-18 micron. While they can be used for 18+micron fibre there will be more waste when combing than they would get with the standard Fine combs, on fine to medium (18-25) micron fibres.
They are lightweight, strong and attractively made from solid America Ash. The combs have stainless steel pins with polished points and are not super sharp. The design ensures they are comfortable in your hands with the comb angle being the most efficient for combing all types of fibre.
Instead of drilling the comb blocks, Majacraft has developed a new technique of bonding the pins into place with a very tough resin. The pins are positioned perfectly straight and perfectly even on every comb.
The complete Comb System set includes combs, a comb block, clamp and diz. This allows you to secure a single comb to a sturdy surface and carry out colour blending in conjunction with a diz.

Double combs are great for finer fibres. They will help you to prepare a sliver that will give an excellent result when spinning worsted yarns. Colour and fibre blending is simple and effective. Try using a diz for taking the wool off the combs. The resulting sliver is a joy to spin and, as is often the case, the time spent in preparation is taken from the time spent in spinning later.
The comb set includes: Mini-Combs, Comb Holder, Clamp, Comb Block, Diz and Threader
